Dawn Barrow
I’m Dawn and I have been working at the Ravenhill Dental Surgery for over 30 years. I started with Mr Roger Stares, in 1992 then in 2001 with Mr Robert Elliott and in 2022 with Mr Behrooz Khoshooee. I began as a Dental Assistant in 1992 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2000. I went on to qualify in radiography for Dental Nurses in 2001.
I became a Practice Co-Ordinator under Mr Elliott and gained experience and achieved a level 3 ILM qualification in Practice Management and Finance. I became the Practice Manager 2003. I enjoy watching films, walking and spending time with my family especially my three grandchildren who keep me busy. I’m always available and happy to answer queries and invite patients to do so.
Nicola
I have been a dental nurse for 25 years, with the last 20 spent working at Ravenhill.
Over the years I’ve gained extensive experience and take pride in supporting both patients and colleagues with professionalism and care.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my four children and looking after my grandson which brings me a lot of happiness and balance alongside my career.
Debra Marensi
I have worked at the practice for 42 years. During this time I have gained extensive experience working alongside a wide range of dental professionals, which has greatly contributed to my professional development.
I hold additional qualifications in NEBDN Dental Radiography, Dental Impression Taking, and Fluoride Application. This enables me to support the team to the highest standards, with a strong dedication and commitment to patient care.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks, dining out, and taking holidays abroad. I have recently become a grandmother and am thoroughly enjoying this special chapter in my life.
Kerry
I am an experienced dental nurse with 28 years in the profession. I qualified with the NEBDN National Certificate in 2000 and went on to achieve NEBDN qualifications in Oral Health Education and Dental Radiography in 2002.
Throughout my career, I have worked across a wide range of settings including hospital dentistry, NHS and private practices, as well as NHS Direct Wales. This has given me a broad skill set and a strong commitment to patient care.
I joined Ravenhill in 2024 and thoroughly enjoy being part of such a supportive and dedicated team.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our two children.
Justine
I am a qualified dental nurse with 36 years of experience. I have worked in both NHS and Private practices, and I have been a part of the Ravenhill team for the past 2 years.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and 2 sons, often watching them participate in their sporting hobbies.
Gemma
I’m Gemma, I started in dentistry as a dental nurse. I wanted to further my career in dentistry so decided to become a Dental Therapist. I qualified in 2010 at Cardiff University where I gained my Diploma of Higher Education in Dental Therapy and Hygiene.
As a Therapist I am able to carry out fillings, periodontal treatment, scaling, extractions on children etc. I have been working in private and NHS practices since qualifying as a therapist and have gained a vast knowledge and experience over the years.
I joined the team at Ravenhill in 2022. I enjoy music and spending my spare time with my partner and two boys. We enjoy camping, canoeing and all outdoor activities.
